Frequently Asked Questions
Step 1: Scan the QR Code
Use the camera on your phone, tablet, or computer to scan the QR code on your Memorial Plaque.
Tap the link that appears on your screen.
Step 2: Enter Your Email
You’ll be taken to the A Different Ending setup page.
Enter your email address in the field provided.
We’ll send you a short security code to confirm it’s you.
Step 3: Confirm Your Email
Check your email and enter the security code on the setup page to continue.
Step 4: Create a New Memory Page
When prompted, select Create a New Memory Page.
You can now begin setting up the page by adding the name, dates, and details of the person or pet you are remembering.
Step 5: Set the Page Manager
Enter the details of the page manager.
At least a first name is required.
Step 6: Attach the Memorial Plaque
Once your Memory Page is set up, place the Memorial Plaque.
Clean the surface first to help it stay secure.
The plaque can be placed on a gravestone, memorial marker, bench, urn, or another meaningful location.
Scanning the plaque will now take visitors directly to the Memory Page.
Step 1: Scan the QR Code
Scan the QR code on the Memorial Plaque using your device’s camera and tap the link.
Step 2: Enter the Email Used for the Existing Page
Enter the same email address you used to create the existing Memory Page.
A short security code will be sent to your email.
Step 3: Confirm Your Email
Enter the security code to continue.
Step 4: Link to an Existing Memory Page
When prompted, select Link to an Existing Memory Page.
You’ll see a list of Memory Pages you manage.
Select the page you want the Memorial Plaque to connect to.
Step 5: Plaque Connected
Your Memorial Plaque is now linked to the selected Memory Page.
If you already have another plaque linked to the same page, it will continue to work as normal.
1. Log In
Log in using the email address linked to the Memory Page.
2. Edit Page Details
You can update names, dates, written memories, and photos at any time.
3. Set Page Visibility
Choose whether the Memory Page is:
Public – anyone who scans the plaque can view it
Private – only people you invite can view it
You can change this at any time.
To set up your deceased loved one's information:
- On the main memorial page, click on the 3 dots to the lower right of the large main image.
- Select Page Settings from the menu that appears at the bottom of the screen.
- Fill in your loved one's name and dates of birth and passing, along with the format you would like the dates displayed.
- You can then select who can view your memorial site when your Soul Star QR code medallion is scanned.
- Select Public for anyone who scans your QR code to be able to view your memorial site. Viewers will not be able to change the text or images. Viewers can leave a Tribute as text or a photo upload, but for your security, they will need to quickly register their email address with Remember Well. This is free and will ensure that their name posts along with any comments they make.
- Select Private if you only want the page visible to people you have selected. You can specify who can view the site on your Manager page by adding their email addresses.
5. To set up the large main photo at the top of the memorial page, make sure you are in the Edit Profile view, then click on the grey pencil icon in the lower right of the photo area and select your desired photo.
6. To set up a Profile photo in the round frame at the bottom of the main profile photo, make sure you are in the Edit Profile view. Click on the Yellow + icon at the bottom of the round frame. From the menu that pops up, click on Edit Profile Picture and select your desired photo.
- To set up your memorial site Manager page, click on the Gear icon in the menu at the bottom of the screen in the lower right.
- At the top of the Manage page, you can click on Soul Stars button in the upper left to view all the Remember Well memorial pages you have Manager access to. From here, you can Edit or View any or these pages. If you click on the person+ icon in the upper right of each memorial site, you will be able to grant Viewer or Admin access to a site.
- If a memorial page is set as Private in the Profile Page Settings, you can select the Viewers button at the top and grant specific people access by sending them an email from here. You will be able to see who was granted access in the lower part of the screen as Pending or Accepted.
- To grant loved ones or friends the ability to help you manage the site, including editing text and adding photos and media files, click on the Admins button at the top right of the page. Enter the person's email and click on Grant Access.
- At the bottom of the page, you will see a list of all the people you have granted Administrator access to, and to which sites they have access. The Remember Well memorial site they have access to will be displayed after their name. Note that all people you have granted any Admin access to will be visible here, but they will only have access to the memorial site listed after their name.
- If you wish to update your personal Manager information, click on the Gear icon on the menu at the bottom of the screen on the lower right. Then click on the Settings button in the upper right of the screen and enter in your desired information.
- Open the Manage section from the menu.
- View the Memory Pages you manage.
- Select the Memory Page you want help with.
- Add another person as a Manager by entering their email address.
- Managers can help edit text and add photos.
- You can remove manager access at any time.
- Set the Memory Page to Private in the page settings.
Open the Manage section.- Add viewer email addresses to grant access.
- You’ll see a list of invited viewers and their status.
- You can remove access whenever you wish.
- Make sure you are logged in as a page manager.
Open the Media section of the Memory Page.- Select the option to add photos.
- Choose the images you wish to upload.
- Add a short description if you like.
- Save your changes.
For best performance, we recommend uploading a small number of photos at a time.
- Log in as a page manager.
- Open the Media section.
- Choose to add a video.
- Upload a short video file or link to a video hosted on YouTube or Vimeo.
- Add a short description and save.
- Visitors scan the QR code or open the Memory Page link.
- They select the Tributes section.
- They choose to add a tribute.
- First-time visitors will be asked to enter their email to verify their contribution.
- Once verified, they can leave a message or photo that appears under their name.
From the main Memory Page, select the share option and copy the page link.
You can then send this link to family or friends.
- Go to the A Different Ending login page.
- Enter your email address.
- Enter the security code sent to your email.
- You’ll be logged back into your Memory Page.
